After an exciting and action-packed Easter Weekend, we saw the cream rise to the top and champions were found.
But there was something more for all of the players to play for. The opportunity to represent NZ Heritage Hockey at the International Hockey Cup later this year being held in Melbourne, Australia from the 30th September to 4th October.
After the battles were over and results were finalised, the selectors had the difficult job of finalising the overall tournament teams from both competitions. Squads of 22 players were chosen for each squad with a view to reduce the squads to 18 each for the Australian trip.
