International Hockey Cup Melbourne 2025

New Zealand Heritage Hockey have accepted an invitation to compete at this years International Hockey Cup in Melbourne in early October this year.   The players in the tournament teams selected at this year’s New Zealand Heritage Hockey tournament held this Easter will each be invited to represent us at this fast-growing tournament.

Heritage will be the only New Zealand based entries this year and we expect many more International players and Olympians to compete as guests within the Australian teams along Australian international players.

The International Hockey Cup Melbourne has established itself as a premier hockey tournament in Australia, attracting top teams and players from across Australia.  Over the past three years, the tournament has witnessed significant growth, with Olympian guests and international players adding to its prestige.

Recent Editions: A Glance

2022 – The tournament welcomed Olympian Pargat Singh as its guest of honour.  Singh, a renowned Indian hockey player, shared his insights and experiences with the participating teams.

2023 – Olympian Sohail Abbas, the Pakistani hockey legend, graced the tournament as its guest. Abbas’s presence added to the excitement, and his interactions with the players were invaluable.

2024 – The latest edition saw Olympian Akashdeep Singh, Pardeep Mor, Jasjit Kular, and Harjeet Singh join forces with Adelaide Sikhs. The team competed against other international players, showcasing their skills and sportsmanship.

This Year’s Tournament: 2-5 October 2025

The International Hockey Cup Melbourne is set to return this year, with the tournament scheduled to take place from 2-5 October 2025.  This year’s edition promises to be the most exciting yet, with a strong lineup of teams and players.
